TDJs of Locura Tanguera 2025

Luis Cono – Malmö (SE)

I am originally from Chile. I currently live in Malmö, Sweden. I am a tango DJ and organizer of tango events. I have been a milonguero (tango dancer) for more than 20 years. My milonga music is always improvised, with a lot of energy in tandas and cortinas. I consider this activity as my true passion. See you again soon!

Yoga Magdalena – Dortmund (D)

Magdalena is an experienced international tango DJ with great musical knowledge. Her soft, positive personality and influence from all musical styles make her performances always balanced and complete. Her tango is above all romantic and based on deep feelings. Sweetness, finesse and charm are interspersed with a strong expression of drama and musicality. Magda has an exceptional ability to maintain a high level when she plays and delights all music lovers! She always surprises with style and harmony.

Barney Horsdahl – Kopenhaga (DK)

Barney is a passionate DJ and organizer in the world of tango, known for creating unforgettable experiences at his tango events. With a rich background in salsa, he seamlessly transitioned into the tango scene over the last decade, bringing his unique charm to the dance floor.

As the mastermind behind La Luna Milonga in Copenhagen—often named as the coziest milonga in the city—Barney creates a welcoming atmosphere, with sense of belonging where dancers of all levels can connect and enjoy the beauty of tango.

Barney has DJed in various countries, including Sweden, Germany, Denmark, Serbia and now Poland sharing his love for tango and connecting with dancers across borders. His deep understanding of music and rhythm allows him to create some precious memories.

Katharina – Berlin (D)

Myszko – Warszawa (PL)

Myszko – Tango Vagabond – likes to experiment with tango music and tango styles. He believes that tango has many dimensions. So does tango music. He loves both late “Golden Age” orchestras and good “tango-fire” modern alternatives, but also the “pub” sound of bands from the 1920s. Tango – it’s diversity – and it’s beautiful.

La Estrella – Pszów (PL)

A life without music is like a sky without stars. La Estrella can’t imagine a milonga without at least one tanda by Pugliese or his contemporary worthy successors, such as Fabio Hager Sexteto. In doing so, she does not limit herself to traditional tango, eagerly reaching for nuevo or alternative. When choosing tandas, she tries to make sure everyone finds the sounds that are most beautiful to them, and she creates the mood on the dance floor in real time. The ideal dance is when the body becomes the instrument through which the music expresses itself in a multi-dimensional space, often to the point of fainting from ecstasy

Andrzej Mantaj – Bydgoszcz (PL)

I don’t like scratchy music. I attach great importance to good quality music. I prefer tango played live, so that’s the atmosphere I try to create at the milonga. The music at the 1930s milongas didn’t crackle, the orchestras and their instruments sounded so good that it’s hard for me to convey their sound. It’s not the age or style of the music that inspires us to dance, but the energy it contains. I like the changing rhythm, the multi-layered nature of the pieces, the contrasting interpretations, the tension, the pauses and the dynamic highlights.

El Buzo – Malmö (SE)

My love for tango radiates through in the music I select. This passion likely drives me to keep exploring new and old tracks, always finding the perfect tanda to keep dancers inspired. My knowledge of tango music is expanding, from classic to contemporary, which enables me to craft sets that resonate with the crowd. I am said to have a knack for reading the room and sensing the emotional pulse of the dancers. It helps to pick tracks that can elevate the energy when it dips or calm things down when it’s too high. I always try to maintain the perfect balance. Top-notch sound quality is not to be compromised. I’m always well-prepared, punctual, and ready to create a fantastic atmosphere.

The word that comes into my mind while taking photos is ‘delight’. Delight in a moment, an emotion, a place, a landscape. The photographs I present are an attempt to capture what has moved me. I invite you into my world. Outside the lens, I love dancing the tango and spending time with people.

I am a photographer who fell in love with tango. My photos are stories of people in an embrace, emotions enchanted in glances and moments that sound like music. When you look at my photographs, I want you to feel the rhythm, hear the melody and be swept away by the magic of dance. I am like a DJ, only instead of music I mix light with emotions. My camera is a bandoneon – I don’t play notes with it, but I capture the moments to make them dance in the frames.
